Audi e-tron GT facelift uncovered up to 925 horsepower

July 11, 2024 By admin

Audi has given the e-tron GT a facelift, giving it some styling tweaks and technical updates. It is similar to its older sibling, the Porsche Taycan, which was updated earlier this year. By improving the cell chemistry and changing the cooling system, the battery capacity increases from 84 kWh to 97 kWh, while the weight is reduced by 9 kg and it has an estimated range of 609 km. This increases the maximum charging speed from 270 kW to 320 kW.

Audi said the new e-tron GT can maintain a charging speed of more than 280kW for longer and over a wider temperature range than before. The automaker has also revised the model range of the e-tron GT. The entry-level two-wheel-drive version, which now boasts 680 horsepower, is called the S e-tron GT. The RS e-tron GT has been increased to 857 hp and the new RS e-tron GT Performance has a maximum output of 925 hp, making it the most powerful Audi vehicle yet.

The RS e-tron GT Performance can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. To differentiate the standard e-tron GT from the RS model, the S e-tron GT now has a silver triangular insert on the front windshield. The RS model is a more aggressive L-shaped entry, while the Performance model can get new carbon fiber “camouflage” as part of the Carbon Package. Other visual changes include a raised hexagonal pattern on the front grille and a redesigned diffuser and center mirror on the RS model.

The interior of the e-tron GT facelift has a new steering wheel with a lower and upper panel with touch-sensitive buttons. It also comes standard with 14-way adjustable sports seats with air suspension, similar to the Porsche Taycan. Audi sells the e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT in India for Rs 1.72 crore and Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. After its European launch, the new e-tron GT will arrive in Europe late this year or early 2025, and we can also expect a price increase. It will still compete with the Porsche Taycan and the Mercedes EQS.
